( NASHVILLE , Tennessee ) – First Medical Management ( FMM ) has been awarded a three-year contract to provide medical care for 19,670 inmates at 12 correctional facilities throughout the State of Tennessee . Projected revenues during the contract term are just under $119 million. The contract also includes one option year.

FMM is a recently established partnership between Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and First Correctional Medical, Inc. (FCMI). MTC has managed correctional facilities since 1987. It now operates 12 prisons in the United States , Canada and Australia . FCM was established in 1996. Its focus is on meeting the extraordinary health care challenges facing correctional institutions.

“We are pleased to join with First Correctional Medical in the creation of First Medical Management,” said MTC President Scott Marquardt. “ FMM will provide quality inmate health care for the Tennessee Department of Correction.”

FCM founder and President Dr. Tammy Kastre added, “First Medical Management looks forward to a strong partnership that will assure clinically appropriate and timely health care services for the state of Tennessee Department of Correction.”

    • Introduce inmates to healthy lifestyle alternatives
    • Prepare inmates to take full advantage of rehabilitative services
